RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) exam ITI aur diploma students ke liye Indian Railways ka sabse popular technical exam hai — train chalane wali team ka hissa banne ka rasta. ALP se shuru karke Loco Pilot, Senior Loco Pilot tak ki defined growth hai — isliye ye railway ki sabse glamorous technical post maani jati hai.
1Eligibility
ITI (relevant trade — fitter, electrician, welder, mechanic ityadi) ya Diploma in Engineering. Age 18–33 saal (category relaxation ke saath). Medical standards bahut strict hain — especially vision (aankhein) aur color blindness tests. Apply karne se pehle apni eye test kara lena chahiye — ALP me vision rejections sabse common hain.
2Exam pattern (4 stages)
1. CBT Stage-I — Maths, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness
2. CBT Stage-II — Part A: Maths, reasoning, basic science & engineering; Part B: relevant trade syllabus
3. CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test) — psycho-technical test (train driving aptitude)
4. Medical exam — strict vision + physical standards
Stage-I qualifying hai, Stage-II ke marks merit banate hain, CBAT alag se qualify karna hota hai — sab stages clear karne zaroori hain.
3Trade paper (Part B) strategy
Stage-II Part B tumhari apni ITI trade se aata hai — electrician walo ko electrical trade, fitter walo ko fitting trade. Ye tumhara home ground hai — full attempt ka target rakho. Trade theory NCVT/SCVT books se revise karo aur trade-specific MCQs lagao.
4CBAT — alag taiyari
Computer Based Aptitude Test me reaction time, memory, depth perception aur concentration ke tests hote hain — ye train driving ke liye zaroori mental abilities check karta hai. Iski taiyari practice se hoti hai — CBAT practice books/software se regular practice karke test format se familiar ho jao. Yaad karke nahi, skill bana ke clear hota hai.
5Salary aur running allowance
Level 2 pay matrix + running allowance — ALP/Loco Pilot ko running staff hone ke karan extra allowance milta hai, isse salary kaafi acchi ban jati hai. Night duties aur long trips is job ka hissa hain — lifestyle pehle samajh lo.
6Preparation strategy
- Physics + Maths strong karo — Stage-II Part A me basic science & engineering ke questions
- Trade theory perfect rakho — Part B me yahi merit badhati hai
- CBAT practice early start — aptitude tests skill se improve hote hain, ratta se nahi
- General awareness — railway GK + current affairs (current affairs guide)
7In galtiyon se bacho
- ✅ Eye test pehle karwa lo — vision standards meet na hon to doosre exams pe focus karo
- ✅ ITI certificate + marksheets scan karke ready rakho
- ❌ Sirf written pe focus mat karo — CBAT me practice ke bina fail hote hain
- ❌ Running staff lifestyle ignore mat karo — night duties aur ghar se door rehna is job me built-in hai
